I don't know how often you check this but I found you here and I'd love to catch up with you some time and see what you've been up to. I have remarried and live a very happy life in Chico, Calif. Hope things are happy and peaceful for you. So send me a message some time...Kathleen

Carl was a great man, I worked for him at his home kennel in sun valley for about a year, 5 years ago. He inspired me. I was fired while Mr. Miller was working out of the country, due to what i would like to think was a simple clash of personalities with myself and Teresa. He inspired me then, and still does to this day. His entire family are wonderful, and I'm very sad that i wont be seeing anymore of his work on the big screen. Condolences to his entire family. Especially the grandchildren, whom i adored.

I am writing an article about the making of the film Babe and would like to include a photo of Karl Miller - does anyone have contact details for his family, or know where I could source a hires image. (The article is being published in a magazine about the film in Deagostini's Classic Australian Movie Collection, being published here in Australia.

Thank you.

Bob,

Thank you for stating so clearly what most of us have suspected for a very long time. Please know that anyone who knows the woman you speak of knows she is anything but credible. She has been making life on the oldest collie email group a nightmare for many years, especially when the name of Lassie has been mentioned, declaring herself to be the one and only expert. Laughingly, she's been proven to be wrong so many times by your posts on this sight. We, the fans of Lassie through all these years, know she's a nut and will turn to only you for contact with your beloved family of dogs.

I met Pal when I was 5 years old. I had a rather bumpy childhood and those nights with Lassie on television was one of the good parts of it. Meeting him was a dream come true, though the 'play dead' when your father picked up that limp dog was a bit too realistic for my child's psyche. We were able to approach your father and Pal after the performance. I looked at Pal/Lassie and he looked at me, and somehow I felt that if I could just put my arms around his neck for a hug everything would be right again. I wasn't allowed to touch him, but he leaned toward me and looked into my eyes and I saw such caring there. It was wonderful. These are very special dogs, these Lassies.

Lassie has been something wonderful for all my many years (many, many years!) and I thank you and your family for sharing that with us.

To have someone like She Who Will Not Be Named trying to steal personal glory from you and hurt you and your dogs in the process is just unconscionable and makes me very angry on your behalf. I hope you resolve this soon, but knowing her obsessive and often irrational nature I suspect it will take a bit of time.

If there is anything that we, the TRUE fans, can do to help you, you have only to say the word. We're still here supporting you and Lassie, no matter how many generations of dogs join the party or legal changes come to pass. We know who our friends are, and I hope you can learn that most of us are your friends as well.

Take care,

Skye and her collie family

p.s. Hope to speak to you soon about a collie who is obsessed with chewing electrical cords!

As an avid watcher of Komissar Rex I was able to get in touch with Mr. Miller's daughter who is filming in Italy now. I am a great dog lover and enjoy all the series. I am sorry about Mr. Miller and have learned a great deal from the internet about dog training. My basic training was for field trial Labradors a kong time ago, but now only have my two loves-Boston Terriers, Hannah and Adam.
Sincerly, Alixe Sears
P.S. If there are family photos of the Millers I would love to have one. Thank you

Hello. I am very sorry for the loss of your friend and colleague. My condolences.

It would be really interesting to hear more about your experiences and key learnings as a hollywood dog trainer. Bet you have some great stories. If you have any that include Dobermans, I would be very interested in that! In fact, I'd love to interview you for my blog, Doberman Heroes

Hello,

I was so glad to read of the natural diet fed to the generations of your dogs and feel that it explains the wonderfully long lived lives of those in your care.

I am curious also as to what vaccines are administered to your dogs and how often as I am convinced that commercial dog foods and over vaccination are the two major culprits in why we see so many diseases in our dogs today that were completely unheard of in the past.

Thank you for your time in answering my query and thank you also for the many hours I sat affixed to the television set in awe of your amazing dogs.

Sincerely,
Shelly Phillips
